Hi all! We are happy to announce the first official release of BlankTheme! After a stand-by season, the 0.9 series finally reaches the public. We are proud of the maturity, flexibility and potential of this (two-year) project. Now it's time to build a community of users and developers to collectively build themes, fix and enhance the framework that can be pretty useful for many of us. Thanks to everyone who made this release possible!.

After a busy time, some great feedback from the community and applying BlankTheme to several projects with great results, some details were added to improve the theme framework capabilities. Other parts were cleaned up. Now the pending task is to update the already ported themes to the latest BlankTheme revision and after that we can release the official 0.9 version. The MenuTree block, developed by Jusuff, can make multi level menus within your Zikula website. By means of templates, plugins and stylesheets one can create horizontal and vertical menus in a wide variety of layouts. A number of predefined menus are ready made for MenuTree. Making and using a nice (graphic) multi-level menu is a piece of cake
Extmenu is a block that is available in the Core for making single level menus in your Zikula site. Also for the Extmenu block a large number of ready made menu designs is made available.

Hello BlankThemers! We would like to take some time today to inform you of some changes in the BlankTheme structure. The goal of these changes is improve performance as well as complete the class system to fine tune the manipulation of elements to a very specific scenario. For example basemod_* style sheets have been merged into a single sheet for ease of use. Please refer to the content.css file. Also the bt_htmloutput plugin has been introduced; this plugin will centralize the ability to change the body and page class types.
